Plan now to attend your local 2014 Democratic precinct caucus. It is a great way to meet people and get involved. Precinct caucuses are held every 2 years. In 2014 Democrats will be holding their gubernatorial year caucus. It is just as important as a Presidential year caucus except there will be no presidential preference groups chosen. There is no criteria except to vote and participate at the caucus you must be a registered Democrat. If you aren't registered before the precinct caucus or if you change political parties, registration forms will be provided.
There is no admission charge to a Democratic caucus. Many laws and issues have evolved from the local precinct level and made it to the county, congressional district, and state platforms. Not only are you being a good citizen but it is also enjoyable.
The local newspapers list by precinct where your caucus will be held. If you do not know your precinct, click on tools and links and go to the county auditors website.
